Updates from Russia: Triton Titanium Gravel Rig…

So I’ve been purging, because of some big news on the horizon my space will be more limited. I sadly sold off the Eriksen, and I have the Trek 750 Multitrack up for sale in it’s current form. The SV650 sold as well to a great Washington guy, I have no updates on it. But […]

An update on Olivia’s Trek Singletrack 990 Tourer…

OK, so I know it’s been awhile since I’ve either posted or talked about bikes. Think of it as a mild hiatus, a short rest stop to catch my breathe, lots has happened in-between and I’ll update over the next couple of weeks accordingly. Right now let’s focus on what’s in front of us, Olivia’s […]

nearly a year later, Trek 750 Multitrack…

so after nearly a year the here’ the Trek 750 Multitrack again, yes, one more iteration πŸ˜‰ I was never super keen on the wheelset I’d build previously, namely because it wasn’t really wide enough in the rear hub arena, so that had to change. the new wheelset is a combination of an SP PV-8 […]

Olivia’s Touring Bike, 1991 Trek Singletrack 990…

so this is one of my latest “un-published” projects, well, the only one, haha, this one being for my girlfriend Olivia. all of these shots were done on my new Sony A7R, so cut me some slack πŸ˜‰ it’s going to take a bit to learn all of the functions (as I just got the […]

a rideable Trek 750 Multitrack…

so here it is, after about two years i finally have the ’92 Trek 750 Multitrack able to be ridden around! fitted now are the Resist Nomad tires in the 700x45c size, they rock, very much enjoying them, big and comfy. i also ended up with an Shimano XT direct mount front derailleur mounted with […]

finally! a Trek 750 Multitrack update…

so finally! haha, well, it’s still being built, i promise! πŸ˜‰ so what’s new? probably a lot, the Farfarer Touring front mini rack hasn’t been installed on a photo up on the blog so far, the crankset, the lack of a front derailleur (see crankset haha). the brakes are back on, i had removed them […]

always hard, decided to sell the 930 Trek…

well, it’s always hard to sell a bike, but i decided that five project bikes was just too many for my current budget, and if i wanted to finish them, i’d have to thin out a bit. so off the purple ’93 Trek 930 SHX Singletrack goes, sadly, parting it out. -peter

finalizing the Trek 950 Singletrack…

so here it is, all buttoned up, a few compromises, but with all the projects i have going on, that’s ok πŸ˜‰ no headlight or taillight yet, but those will come eventually, dynamo front, probably battery rear to reduce all that wiring. let me know what you think! -peter

updates to the Trek 930 SHX

just a bit of an update on the ’93 Trek 930 SHX. so far the upgrades are as such, front to back, Chris King 1 1/8″ headset with a Thomson stemcap, Magura MD80R 80mm travel fork, Avid Ultimates with KoolStop Thinline Salmon pads, DKG 33mm Seatpost clamp, Cane Creek Thudbuster LT 27.2 seatpost, and a […]

yet another Trek, ’93 930 SHX…

so yeah… i got myself ANOTHER Trek, this time a ’93 SingleTrack 930 SHX, it’s basically identical to my ’92 950, but with a different sized seat-post and a suspension fork with a threadless headset. the original Trek Shock Wave fork has been replaced with a newer(ish) Marzocchi Bomber fork, and i’ve pretty much stripped […]

Kogswell P/R update…

so the kogswell is finally nearly there, only front and rear lighting to mount and wire up to that pretty Shimano LX dynamo hub out front there. the Alfine 8 rear hub was a breeze to set up, i wish i could justify the cost of the 11 speed, i’d have a triple on the […]

racks for the Trek 750 Multitrack…

this time around with the touring build i decided to go the Tubus route, with a Logo for the rear and Duo for the front (both imported from the UK in Silver). the logo in the rear is going to a bit to get used to, as it has a MUCH smaller top platform than […]

dueling treks, an update on both…

got a few more parts in the mail as well as installing fenders on the 750, more pictures of that in the next week or so, as well as some changes from the Bianchi’s kit. the 950 however is all ready to ride, minus a bottle cage, Chain Keeper, rim tape, tubes, tires, and grips. […]

got myself a ’92 Trek 750 Multitrack…

(not my pictures, they were provided for the sale, frameset should be shipping tomorrow) so i finally found the Multitrack that i wanted, a very pristine, at least by description and pictures (never can be absolutely certain until you see it in real life, but the guy seems legitimate, so i’m honestly not too concerned, […]

as always, parts in the mail…

so, it seems like this is a constant in my life, something to complain about right? πŸ˜‰ but the majority of the components for the Trek 950’s wheelset are in the mail: some Velo Orange Diagonale 650b rims (36h as usual), Sapim double butted (14[2.0]/15[1.8]/14) spokes from Lee Kilpatrick (a great guy and always cuts […]

deciding to sell the Bianchi Volpe…

decisions, decisions, i hate to do it, but i’ve got the itch for a different touring frame and that means i need to sell the Bianchi Volpe frame + fork. the fork on the bike now is a powder-coated to match Surly Cross Check fork, it will come with the headset, stock fork, and custom […]

Brooks Swallow for the Trek 950…

well i finally broke down and bought the saddle i’ve always lusted after, a slick Black Brooks Swallow, and it looks damn fine on the Trek 950 Singletrack if i do say so myself πŸ˜‰ other parts are starting to trickle in, with the snow pounding us this week the delivery’s have been sketchy at […]
