just a bit of an update on the ’93 Trek 930 SHX.
so far the upgrades are as such, front to back, Chris King 1 1/8″ headset with a Thomson stemcap, Magura MD80R 80mm travel fork, Avid Ultimates with KoolStop Thinline Salmon pads, DKG 33mm Seatpost clamp, Cane Creek Thudbuster LT 27.2 seatpost, and a re-issued DKG Strong Arm brake booster.

parts are starting to add up, finally it’s staring to resemble a bike! waiting on an XT M770 11-34 cassette, an XTR M791 GS rear derailleur, the Chris King 1 1/8 2Nut Conversion, and the Thomson 110mm x 10? X4 stem. next on the list, building the wheelset… mmm, sexy 650b’s…. -peter
got the frame for 37 dollars and that set the mood for the build; build it cheap, but build it well. more to come, but it’s going to be running campy gear with home built wheels on campy hubs 🙂 -peter
A big update here. So, the big reveal! Haha, or something like that. Two and half weeks ago I spent an afternoon packing the fork, stem, spacers, and frame together and I shipped it all down to Ruckus Composites in Portland, OR to have it all paint matched to the frame. Less than a week…

So, the SV has been undergoing some surgery as of late, with a whole lot more scheduled! Right now it’s had the 2004/5 GSXR600/750 front end swapped out for a 2008 GSXR750 front end. The wheels are also getting changed out to the matching 2008 wheelset, Zoran will take care of the rear spacers for…
