Great looking photos! What is the wrap on the top tube and seat tube?
Hey Greg, It’s the “Portage Strap” from Walnut Studio in Portland, OR.
You can click the link on the right hand side of my blog and it’ll take you right too them, let them know Peter Lombardi sent you :)Â
They’re happy to do custom sizes and have a ton of leather tints available. Geoffrey and Valerie are both wonderful to deal with.
And thank you for the compliments 🙂
 Sweet! Thanks for the link!
Happily 🙂 Love to support small businesses
I know this is a bit dated, but I’m looking for a rear rack for my Volpe. Is that piece that goes from the rack to frame near the rear brake part of the Expedition rack parts, or did you have to find it somewhere else? Is it one of the extenders from the Jandd site, which size?
How did you like the rack on your Volpe?
No worries about it being dated Paul 🙂 I still reminisce about the Volpe often.
The mount is just the standard “Rack Extender” from Jandd, they came with the racks when I purchased them new. I eventually hacked them off at the mid point, if you look at the link below you’ll see there is a central span between the outer edges.
They work fine, but if I were going to buy a new set of mounts I’d go with something like these Tortec fittings, they’re more like my favorite racks, Tubus, and they should work fine with the Jandd. Black or Silver.
The rack was great though, really, really sturdy, I’d definitely recommend it.
