so finally! haha, well, it’s still being built, i promise! 😉 so what’s new? probably a lot, the Farfarer Touring front mini rack hasn’t been installed on a photo up on the blog so far, the crankset, the lack of a front derailleur (see crankset haha). the brakes are back on, i had removed them…

i was looking outside at the light fading and it was just a pretty fall evening i had to scoop up the Spooky and carry it outside for a quick photo opp. anyhow, spooky is coming along nicely, as you can see the housings are all routed, the bars are taped up and the wheels…
so it seems that i have a mixte build-up in the works, someday i’ll get back to the pre-war schwinn i swear! anyhow, back to the subject at hand, a mixte build, what’s a mixte you ask? well the late Sheldon Brown explains it as such, A style of lady’s frame in which the “top tube” consists…

i when i found this complete prewar straightbar on craigslist.org for the right price and only 25 minutes from my house, i had to jump at the opportunity. this is how it looks now, i have a lot of plans for it, but for now, i’m just going to enjoy it 🙂 -peter
