i when i found this complete prewar straightbar on craigslist.org for the right price and only 25 minutes from my house, i had to jump at the opportunity.
this is how it looks now, i have a lot of plans for it, but for now, i’m just going to enjoy it 🙂

got my 110mm 10? Thomson X4 stem, the Chris King 1 1/8 2Nut Conversion, and my M770 XT 11-34 cassette. it’s finally starting to look like a bike! figured i’d get a little more progress up, since i’ll be heading off to PA again come tuesday, wheelset ordering / building when i get back! 😀…

so i got bored yesterday and hacked off a section of the Bianchi Volpe’s steerer tube. i was actually really hesitant to do it, but the positioning felt good and i was, as i said before, bored. thankfully though i had a bit of forethought as to potential re-positioning, so i added another 5mm spacer…
so finally! haha, well, it’s still being built, i promise! 😉 so what’s new? probably a lot, the Farfarer Touring front mini rack hasn’t been installed on a photo up on the blog so far, the crankset, the lack of a front derailleur (see crankset haha). the brakes are back on, i had removed them…
